So lets get down to the basic things that have happened. First off I asked my pal Jacob to escort me to our social clubs presentation of the senior class. Thankfully he said yes and I will not be riding solo to that. So in January I went to winter formal with a gentleman named Billy Ho. He goes to Oxford High School and invited me to come to their winter formal. I said yes and made a trip to Oxford. While in Oxford for another event I went and got to see my brother for a hot second while he was prepping for work one afternoon. Our church hosted the African Children's Choir and I met the sweetest angel named Juliet. She wants to be a pastor when she grows up and called me Auntie Emmie. I got to build a relationship with her over a couple of days and she has a big place in my heart now. The choir brings 10 or so 7 to 8 year olds to tour the United States for a year. They raise money and awareness about the happenings of Africa. It is an AMAZING organization and if you ever have the chance to see them I highly encourage it. They are such a talented group of kids. So then our social club hosted a father daughter valentines day dance. We all took a picture. It was cute. It made it on here. Then my absolute favorite couple got married. So congrats to the Holley's. The Heritage Soccer team went to the state championship and got runner up! If you can't be an athlete, be an athletic supporter. Then by some miracle I was asked to prom and I got donuts too so it was pretty great. I went and celebrated Anna Katherine's seniority. She's pretty cute and for those of you who have forgotten she is my roommate for college. Then last but absolutely not least I had the amazing opportunity of working and leading a spiritual retreat called the Happening. God worked in such big ways throughout the entire weekend. He was so present and I cried a lot. I could not have asked for it to go any better and I am so thankful for everyone who was in prayer or made the weekend come together. That is the biggest crash course of my life I could give you. I am about to end my third nine weeks as a senior. One more to go and I'm headed off to the school up north. This has been such a crazy ride and I know it is about to get even more hectic. I have so many emotions about what is about to come up. Mostly just optimistic and hopeful for good times ahead. I miss my nan but I know she is looking down watching me go through all of this. Senior year is rapidly coming to an end. I can't say I'm not excited because it is time to move onto new things. But my 14 years at Heritage Academy have treated me well. 27 weeks down and 9 to go. Hope y'all will stay with me on this journey!
Thanks for reading!!!
